As the effect of energy-saving and emission-reduction measures becomes apparent, coal demand in coking, ferro-alloy and steel production industries will slow down. Therefore, it is expected that the supply and demand of coal will be basically balanced in the fourth quarter.
Customs data also showed that China's coke exports soared this year compared to the same period last year. In the first 10 months, the country exported 2.64 million tons of coke, while export volume was only 420,000 tons in the same period of last year.
